Led by the Seia municipality but with the crucial involvement from local tourism entrepreneurs and the region’s local communities, a plan was created to promote and develop a group of villages located in the Estrela mountain range. The project’s success in the Seia municipality was followed by other Estrela municipalities who produced a study to extend this network, which thereby took on a truly inter-municipality dimension.
