Graduated in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Centre International of Glion in Switzerland, has a vast experience of more than 25 years in the management of multidisciplinary teams, as well as on the development and management of the restaurant industry. After developing her career abroad, she returned to Portugal in 1995 to set up a consultancy company that would become Essentia with the aim to design new concepts and opportunities, to be developed in Urban Rehabilitation and Theme Real Estate, Sustainable Hospitality and Tourism. Margarida believes that Portugal with its own heritage, cultural and natural richness offers a unique scenario to create a sustainable, profitable and extremely attractive tourism destination.
