At Concept Hotels “the host” is seen as a friend in Lisbon

Over the past decade, the demands of tourists have changed rapidly, and all the signs suggest these changes are set to continue. To meet these ever-changing demands and beat the competition, Concept Hotels are changing their services, from one of simply having a good stay to providing unique personalised services throughout your stay in Lisbon.

A challenge was thrown down by ESSENTIA to a group of students doing a Masters in Management and Organisation at the TIAS University in Holland - Kim van Limbergen, Eric Tielemans, Ron Stegers and Patricia van Oosterhout - to undertake research in partnership with the Portuguese consultancy.

The goal of the study was to gather information on the skills sets that would be needed of future hotel sector professionals, as are currently understood by hotel owners, managers, staff and teachers who are among the main players that help to make Lisbon a competitive and sustainable tourist destination.
